Common Spark Amp Problems with Their Solutions

1. Static Noise

Static noise is a random problem that can occur on your Spark Amp. This is a quite common issue on the older versions or models of this device, the latest ones usually do not encounter this issue.

The static issue is usually caused by sambhag or an error during the startup. It can also occur because of frequency problems. The first step that you can take to sort this issue out is to reset the amp.

In order to reset you will have to use the application for Spark Amp on your smartphone. Another way to do this is that you switch on the amp and long press the button until the power lights on the amp start lighting up and flashing.

After the lights have started to flash you can remove your hand from the button and this will cause the amp to reset on its own. This type should resolve the static noise complaint for good and you will not have to go through this issue again.

2. Not Pairing

Another annoying problem that you may come across on your Spark Amp is that it might fail to pair with all the other devices that you might have.

These devices include your phone, speakers and any other latest devices with the Bluetooth function in them.

A simple restart or reset should suffice for solving this issue for you but if it still does not iron out the pairing issue then you might have to check if there is a firmware issue.

As the case is with most such devices that have an online application you need to make sure that the firmware is regularly updated so that it does not end up causing any issues.

An updated firmware will ensure that your Spark Amp is fully compatible with all the other devices that you own. To get a new update you will have to reset the amp.

This will trigger the device to give you the latest firmware update option, alternatively you can also use your smartphone update for this purpose.

This is another issue that you might come across with your Spark Amp. One fine day it might not start up for some random reason. There can be multiple reasons for this issue.

The first step to take in this case is to check whether the issue lies with the battery or not. Replace the batteries on your amp just in case.

If the problem was due to faulty batteries then the issue will be resolved and your device will start up normally. If the issue still passes then you need to take a look at the power supply of the amp.

This is a more technical situation which might require the attention of someone who knows how to deal with electronics. Hire technical help if you think you will not be able to check the power supply on your own.

4. Not Getting Sound Output

Sometimes when you connect your guitar with your Spark and there might be no sound. For this issue you will have to carry out certain checks. Connect your guitar to any other amp that you have lying around and check whether it gives you an output.

This should give you an idea of whether the problem is actually with the cable that connects the guitar and the amp or whether it lies with the amp.

If another amp gives you a sound output then you need to check if the input connector on your Spark Amp is disconnected and whether you have turned up your output knob or not.

If the input connector is disconnected then connect properly and turn up the output knob to its full potential. This should solve your problem.

5. Producing A “Hum” Sound

This is a common problem that occurs with those Spark Amps that do not have a grounded power supply.

They develop this issue over time. It can quickly become a nuisance because an amp is supposed to improve your sound output and overall performance. A “hum” sound will cause distortion which will ruin an otherwise perfect performance.

You can simply get the power supply unit changed to a grounded one by ordering one through Spark.

6. Smart Jam Feature Stops Working

At times it might happen that you turn on the smart jam option and the whole app shuts down. This indicates that there is a problem with the smart jam feature of the Spark Amp.

This is a technical problem that can be difficult for the users to solve at home. In that case you can simply contact a person who has the technical expertise required to deal with this issue.

This will clear the app’s cache and if there are any minor glitches, they will be cleared completely.

Another thing you need to do in case of application crashes is to check whether the app version is correct or not. Make sure that the app is updated to the latest version for the most optimum performance.

If the problem is still not solved then as a last resort you may uninstall the application and then reinstall it to get a completely new slate.

8. App Crashes On Android

The case for Spark Amp app crashes is somewhat different for Android. Firstly you can try to force stop the application. If the problem is minor then the force stop should help you get rid of it.

Second step would be to check whether the app is completely updated to its latest version. If the problem still persists then uninstall the application and reinstall it from the PlayStore.

Conclusion
