Star Wars Cast Performs A Cappella Version of The Star Wars Soundtrack

Now that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is finally in theatres, there’s no wonder that all kinds of viral content have been created to celebrate the release of the latest chapter of the epic saga.

We really enjoyed this a cappella medley of John Williams’s work, where tv host Jimmy Fallon and The Roots perform with old and new cast members. You can clearly recognise Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong’o, Adam Driver, and Gwendoline Christie along with Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford among others. We have to say, vocal percussions really came in handy when the group started singing the jazzy Cantina theme.

Oh, and let’s not forget to mention the way the non-human characters contributed to the making of this a cappella medley: it would not have been as brilliant without the beeps and electronic sounds of R2D2 and BB8 and Chewbacca’s howls.
