14 Year Old Violist Plays With World-Class Orchestra

Over the past decade, amazing feats have been achieved by teenagers in the realms of music, sports, technology and beyond. A Denver, CO teen now joins the list of young people doing incredible things that many spend their lives trying to achieve. Gianella, the 14 year old violist, performed with the Colorado Symphony on January 30th and their evening presentation of Cirque Musica.

Gianella’s unique story doesn’t end here. Her inspirational journey includes a battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, leading the Denver Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant her the opportunity to fulfil a dream. She has been playing the viola for several years, choosing it amongst other stringed instruments for its rich sound. Gianella’s lifelong dream is to be a professional musician. She’s now a giant step closer following her recent debut.
