Slot check: If the cents error is large, the requested equal-tempered interval may not exist as a clean same-fingering lip slur. Choose the nearest partial move, then tune the note by ear.
Practice load: For brass flexibility, clean response usually matters more than total repetitions. If the total time looks high, lower the sets or increase rest before raising tempo.
