Vladimir Pliassov’s Incredible Musical Machine

Some inventions make things easier for us. Some cause revolutions that forever change the course of human history. Others give the possibility to play a Bach Fugue on a violin, viola and cello simultaneously.

This machine which looks more like an experimental musical instrument designed by Leonardo da Vinci, is created by Vladimir Pliassov, a musician and inventor from Russia. In the video below he demonstrates his invention himself by playing Bach’s ‘Fuga super Allein Gott in der Höh sei Ehr‘ (originally written for organ). And in case someone wonders why on Earth anyone would invent a machine like this, the answer is simple: to make the ‘musical’ life more interesting! And who knows? Maybe this will inspire someone’s own flash of genius someday.
